Taylor Door started in 1990 as a family garage door business in St. Clair Shores. The family still runs it, and the showroom on 9 Mile is where most of our customers start.
Three door companies on one lot
What began as a garage door installer grew into a residential showroom, an online parts store in 2008, and a commercial door and dock company. All three run from the same lot on 9 Mile, and the family that started it still runs it.
“I started working with my parents when I was 17 years old, installing garage doors. In 2008 I started selling parts online, then I started DIY Door Store. Now we're doing a commercial door business too. So we have three door companies here.”
